Wood for the trees is a series about trees, timber and tree planting. I’ve been working with film-maker Charly Le Marchant since 2019 on these films. It’s been fascinating to talk with experts from different backgrounds and perspectives about their hopes and fears for the future of UK forests.
Sadly, I had to miss out on a trip to Knepp to film part 10 of the series, but it’s good to see Charly in front of the camera. She spoke with Professor Alastair Driver, Director of Rewilding Britain, about where trees and timber harvesting could fit into a rewilding landscape.
